Kentucky man arrested after slamming vehicle into home

A driver slammed his vehicle into the front of a home Monday morning in Hart County, and now, that driver is behind bars.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call that a vehicle had struck the exterior of a residence on South Jackson Highway.  

Troopers say, Nicholas Smith, 27, of Park City, Kentucky was driving the SUV, when he drove the vehicle onto a front porch, striking the exterior of the residence.

People were inside the home when the crash happened. No one was injured.  

Smith was arrested on scene and charged with three counts of wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, criminal trespassing, DUI, and not having an operator’s license. 

When Smith was lodged in the Hart County Jail, he was cited for additional charged of promoting contraband and possession of marijuana.
