Kentucky legislators announce daylight saving time legislation
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Two lawmakers in Kentucky are proposing the idea of making daylight saving time year-round.
The legislation was pre-filed on Monday by Republican Representatives Bart Rowland and Brandon Reed.
Yet, there’s a catch. In order for the legislation to become law, congress would have to pass a federal law that allows states to recognize daylight saving time year-round.
Daylight saving time begins in March and concludes in November.
Tennessee, Oregon, Florida and Washington have all passed similar legislation.
