Kentucky League of Cities awards senator with 2026 Friend of Cities Award

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) awarded Senator Max Wise (R- Campbellsville) with a 2026 Friend of Cities Award for his leadership and support for Kentucky’s cities during the 2026 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

Senator Wise worked with legislators and local officials during the 2026 Regular Session to address and solve issues affecting communities across the state. 

The award was presented during the last Bowling Green Commissioners meeting by KLC Director of Government Affairs Gracie Kelly, KLC Government Affairs Associate Emma Wilson, and Bowling Green’s Board of Commissioners.

“Senator Wise recognizes that decisions made in Frankfort have a direct impact on the ability of cities to serve their residents,” KLC Director of Government Affairs Gracie Kelly said. “We appreciate his accessibility, his willingness to hear from city officials, and his continued commitment to working with KLC on issues that matter to communities across the Commonwealth.”
