Kentucky law enforcement can apply for body armor grant program
FRANKFORT, Ky. – A $15 million statewide grant launched by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office will help officers, deputies and troopers fund body armor gear and weapons.
According to officials, applications are open right now for the $15 million grant program. Any armor purchased through this grant program will be assigned to the officer specifically named in the application and will remain assigned to that officer for the duration of its life cycle of five years.
