Kentucky Kids on the Block holds annual Dash for Sheldon in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – Over the Easter weekend, Kentucky Kids on the Block held its annual Dash for Sheldon, where hundreds of kids got to run throughout Beaver Creek Park in Glasgow.

Different races were held throughout the morning, with proceeds from the event going toward funding programs in Barren and Hart counties.

A couple of local friends were on hand, including Pathfinder from SKYCTC and Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse.

Kellie McKay was also present, and she says her favorite part is seeing how excited the kids are.

“Oh my gosh, they love running through the finish line. You see them running the course and they are having so much fun. Some of them are really tired at the very end, but you see smiles on their faces and they’re having such a great time,” McKay says.

Pathfinder and Andy even got to take part in the 2K race, and Kids on the Block staff are super excited to see the community come out and support them.
