Kentucky Department of Revenue to temporarily pause operations

If you haven’t gotten those taxes filed yet, now might be a good time.

On Thursday, the Kentucky Department of Revenue announced it must briefly pause operations as it prepares to launch a new business tax portal and a new internal, integrated tax system.

From Feb. 26 to March 14, many of the department’s operations will be temporarily unavailable.

Staff will be available to answer phone calls but will have limited system access during this period.

Tax returns may be filed, however, return acknowledgements and refunds will be delayed until operations resume on March 14.
