Kentucky Chamber President calls Bowling Green “hottest area” of state

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-The President of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce made a stop in Bowling Green Thursday afternoon.

Dave Adkisson is traveling from chamber to chamber ahead of the upcoming legislative session in Frankfort to speak with members about this year’s legislative priorities.

Thursday afternoon, he visited the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce for a luncheon.

With consumer confidence high across the nation and Kentucky, Adkisson says businesses are doing well in the Commonwealth, especially in Bowling Green, a place he calls the “hottest area” in the state.

“Everyone talks about the golden triangle and the growth in the Louisville, Lexington and the northern Kentucky area,” said Adkisson. “It’s more of a parallelogram because it expands down to Bowling Green. Bowling Green is one of the most dynamic areas of the state and often leads the state in terms of job growth, income growth and population growth.”

Adkisson says the reason Bowling Green is thriving is due to it’s location along the interstate, having a public university. This and being within an hour of Nashville International Airport.
