Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announces grant opportunities to combat child abuse
FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Friday, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announced the the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board will be offering grant funding opportunities for agencies and organizations across Kentucky to further their work in preventing child abuse.
The board is accepting proposals for educational and public informational programming that is focused on the promotion of children and their families. In addition, $60,000 has been made available for these organizations, with grant payouts varying depending on the project.
Following a statewide evaluation of child abuse and neglect prevention efforts, the board has identified new priorities for prevention proposals. The next round of awards will focus on stabilizing important supports like housing, food assistance, transportation and childcare.
“Combating child abuse and neglect is our moral responsibility as we prepare the next generation of Kentucky’s leaders,” Coleman said.
