Kelly Craft hosts governor campaign kickoff event in hometown of Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky.- Kelly Craft hosted her official campaign kickoff event for Governor of Kentucky earlier tonight in downtown Glasgow. 

Running as a republican, she faces a large pool of republican candidates including Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Ag Commissioner Ryan Quarles. 

She is the former UN Ambassador under former President Donald Trump and before that was the U.S. Ambassador to Canada. 

She was born and raised in Glasgow and many residents showed up tonight  to support her. 

“There is no other place I’d rather be to kick off this campaign than right here where I grew up, the place that mom and dad called home,” said Craft.

The party election is in May 2023 and the general election is in November 2023.
