Kelley Paul inspires at The Buddy House, highlighting growth and community

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Kelley Paul recently stopped by DSSKY, also known as The Buddy House, where she was warmly welcomed by the inspiring individuals who spend time there.

The visit was a celebration of love, support, and the many life-changing resources offered through DSSKY.

Executive Director Stephanie Morton shared that the organization serves individuals with Down syndrome across 14 southern Kentucky counties, offering everything from prenatal to end-of-life counseling. Kelley Paul described the experience as a blessing, noting the joy, friendships, and life skills fostered at The Buddy House.

Visitors like Paul help show participants that anything is possible, from building independence to achieving big dreams. One shining example is Shelly Rogers, who has been writing her own cookbook for 14 months and cooked one of her recipes alongside Kelley during the visit.

Shelly’s story is just one of many success stories coming out of The Buddy House, where confidence and creativity flourish. As DSSKY continues to grow, more families are reaching out, even considering relocation to be part of the supportive community.

With a new location in the works and Shelly preparing to release her cookbook, the future is looking bright.
