Junior golf championships are back! Signup deadline Wednesday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Golf season is in full swing and the Boy’s Bowling Green Junior Championships are happening this Friday. 

The 2022 Walker Boys Junior Championships has been held at the Paul Walker Golf Course since 1965. There is an 18-hole division for ages 14-18, a 9 hole division for ages 11-13, and a putting division for ages 6-10. 

The deadline to sign up is this Wednesday by noon. You can find more info here. 

The event is entirely free and a great way to improve our youth. 

“It’s fun. Anytime you can get out, you meet people, you can just enjoy being outside and talking to different people and maybe if you haven’t played golf before you can learn something new and I think the idea behind that is really great,” said Sheriff Brett Hightower. 

The Girls’ Bowling Green Junior Championships are on July 20th and the deadline to sign up is July 19th by noon.
