BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky says it will be hosting J.A. Girls presented by Atmos Energy and sponsored in part by German American Bank.

The event will take place at SKYCTC on Friday, March 14 in Building F.

According to Junior Achievement, around 90 middle school girls from Bowling Green Independent and Warren County school districts will be impacted using curriculum taught using “the J.A. Girls philosophical approach.”

Junior Achievement says J.A. Girls aims to prepare girls and young women for future success by giving them hands-on experiences and educational opportunities that “honor, value and celebrate the female perspective, experiences and unique development.”

Students will learn how to make an elevator pitch, how to network, reflect on positive daily practices and approach difficult situations, discuss budgeting, talk through making smart choices on social media and create a vision board.

According to Junior Achievement, the goal is to increase girls’ knowledge and increase skills in economic literacy, career preparation and entrepreneurship.
