Junior Achievement of South-Central Kentucky receives grant from State Farm
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-An organization focused on youth development recently received some encouraging news.
State Farm has presented Junior Achievement of South-Central Kentucky a $10,000 grant.
The good neighbor citizenship company grants program will help the organization provide programs like financial literacy and entrepreneurship to kindergarten through 12th grade students across the region.
Education has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why Junior Achievement of South-Central Kentucky brand experience coordinator Emily Harlan was happy to receive this news.
“The pandemic of course has been a challenge for everyone, and we’ve had to pivot the way we provide our programs. We’re going virtual with all of our programs for k-12 students, and this is just another way to help provide programs for our local students,” Harlan said.
The organization is always looking for volunteers. For more information, follow this link.
