Judge of Warren/Edmonson Circuit Court announces retirement

EDMONSON and WARREN COUNTIES, Ky. – A judge that has served both the Edmonson and Warren County Circuit Courts has announced his retirement.

According to a letter, Judge David A. Lanphear is retiring effective September 30, 2025.

The letter states the following:

“Dear members of the Bar, ”

“It has been a great honor for me to serve the citizens of Warren and Edmonson County as judge of the Warren/Edmonson Circuit Court, Division III. However, I have decided that it is time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. This has been the best job I have ever had, so it is with joy and a touch of sadness that I announce my retirement effective September 30, 2025. I enter retirement confident that whoever succeeds me will have the wisdom and judgement this important position requires. Thank you all.”
