Joe Bonsall, member of Oak Ridge Boys, dead at 76

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A long-time member of the Oak Ridge Boys has died.
The band announced that tenor vocalist, Joe Bonsall, passed away from complications of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis on Tuesday. He was 76.
Bonsall and the Oak Ridge Boys released a statement announcing his retirement from touring in January.
Bonsall was a 50-year member of the group. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame.
Bonsall also authored 11 books.
