Jefferson County Public Schools teacher accused of serving alcohol and marijuana to minors at party
MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky.- A Jefferson County Public Schools teacher is in hot water after police say she served marijuana and alcohol to minors at a New Year’s Eve party.
Lindsey Lewis, 36, is charged with 14 counts of engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor.
According to authorities in Mount Washington, Lewis was arrested Tuesday. Police say 40 people were inside her Mount Washington home, 14 of whom were under the age of 18.
Police say Lewis knowingly hosted a party in which she knew or assisted 14 minors to either be exposed to marijuana or alcohol, or partake of it.
Lewis has been a special education teacher since 2016 at the Phoenix School of Discovery. A Jefferson County Public Schools Spokeswoman says the district is aware of the situation.
