“It’s unusual,” National Weather Service details severe weather
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – “They say spring comes in like a lion, and it’s roaring right now,” Mike Kochasic with the National Weather Service said when asked about Wednesday’s weather.
News 40 spoke to the regional representative for the National Weather Service in Louisville, who told us that the atmospheric setup we’re seeing today is typically only seen once or twice a year on average, making today a little out of the ordinary.
Kochasic said weather would be ramping up between the hours of 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m., followed shortly by overnight threats as well.
The meteorologist said it’s important to be prepared this evening, having things like a weather radio to wake you up if you happen to be asleep.
