It’s a Girl at T.J. Samson! 1st baby of 2023
GLASGOW, Ky. – The first baby of the new year has arrived at T.J. Samson Community Hospital!
Meet miss Anastasia Toni Rose McCorkel. The healthy girl was born at 2:25 p.m. on January 1st to proud parents Arriel Boyd and Andrew McCorkel of Bowling Green.
Most excited of all to meet Anastasia was her big, 8-year-old brother, Zilar Boyd.
The hospital presented balloons and gifts to the very unexpecting Mom and Dad.
Arriel said, “I never realized how big of a deal it was to have your baby be the first baby born on New Year’s… The nurse asked, ‘Has anyone congratulated you were offered you gifts?’ And I was really confused as to why!”
Anastasia is expected to be the first of many new faces delivered there; each year about 1,200 babies are born at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
