WKU’s Isenbarger Eyes Competition at Olympic Trials

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU All-American track and field athlete Katie Isenbarger is getting ready to wear ‘Tops’ across her chest for one last time, in the Olympic trials.

Isenbarger finished at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships last weekend as an honorable mention and will return to Eugene, Oregon in a little over a week for a shot to represent the United States.
Wednesday, she shared what the opportunity meant for her.

“I’m honestly just like amazed and like honored that I even get to be there, like around that environment and those kinds of people,” Isenbarger said. “I mean just the opportunity to potentially represent my country is like so cool even if it doesn’t happen. And obviously that would be crazy if it did happen, but I just think I feel really honored and blessed to like have this situation in front of me.”
