Investigation underway in death of Muhlenberg County Airman

F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. – An investigation is underway following the death of a Muhlenberg County Airman.

90th Missile Wing Public Affairs says an incident involving a firearm discharge on July 20 killed Airman Brayden Lovan, 21, of Greenville.

According to a 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs release, the cause of the discharge has not been determined.

The ongoing investigation is led by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) Safety office, in collaboration with the Air Force Security Forces Center and Headquarters Air Force Security Forces.

Airman Lovan entered active duty on November 6, 2023, serving at F. E. Warren Air Force Base. He was assigned to the 90th Security Forces Squadron on May 8, 2024.
