Internet crimes against children investigation results in arrest of Bowling Green man

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A 33-year-old from Bowling Green is under arrest after an undercover internet crimes against children investigation.

According to Kentucky State Police, on Thursday, the department’s electronic crime branch arrested Jonathon Lewis.

Lewis is charged with five counts of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor-first offense. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

According to authorities, their investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Bowling Green.

Police say equipment from that residence was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

Lewis was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
