BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One of our local golf professionals has been awarded the prestigious Tennessee PGA Distinguished Career Award. Ken Crowder, General Manager of Indian Hills Country Club, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the game of golf.

Ken Crowder has been named the recipient of the Tennessee PGA Distinguished Career Award, an honor reserved for exceptional PGA Professionals who have made significant contributions to the sport. As the General Manager of Indian Hills Country Club and a member of the Tennessee PGA Section for 29 years, Crowder played a crucial role in helping PGA Professionals secure employment at non-PGA facilities throughout the region.

Crowder’s dedication to developing the next generation of PGA Professionals was also highlighted through his creation of a scholarship program, which helped alleviate the financial burden of the PGM program for deserving apprentices.

“That’s about as humbling as anything that could ever be done,” said Crowder. “And it’s hard for me to find the proper words to describe this because I was so honored by it. And I apologize for the emotion. It’s just hard sometimes to think about because I never got in this business for applause, or honors, or awards, or anything like that.”

In recognition of his achievements, Crowder will be honored at a future event attended by his peers and special guests from the Tennessee PGA community. This award will stand as a testament to his unwavering commitment to the game of golf and his tireless efforts to improve the profession of PGA Professionals.
