Indian Hills Country Club opens new short game area for members
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new development at Indian Hills Country Club is now available to members.
The club unveiled its new short game area at a grand opening on Friday. The state-of-the-art short game area is the first of its kind in South Central Kentucky.
It allows golfers to work on their putting on the green, with fairway space to work on chipping and pitching their way to the surface.
Staff are not only excited about this new addition to the club, but they think businesses and those who come to the area will enjoy it too.
“One of the things that’s happening in Bowling Green, I’ve been here 4 years now, and this city is exploding and there’s a lot of industry coming into this area… and when the industries come into the area, one of the first things that they look for is, well, what are the recreational opportunities?,” IHCC general manager Ken Crowder says.
The area was also dedicated in honor of one of its main designers.
The Bob McLean Short Game Area is in honor of the long-time superintendent.
