UK PM: At low point, doctors prepared my death announcement
LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister Boris Johnson has offered more insight into his hospitalization for COVID-19. Johnson told the Sun newspaper that he was aware doctors were preparing a strategy for announcing his death. Johnson, who spent three nights in intensive care amid a week of treatment in a London hospital after falling ill, says he was aware that doctors “had a strategy to deal with a ‘death of Stalin’-type scenario.’’ The remarks were Johnson’s most candid yet on his illness. When he got discharged from the hospital, acknowledged his fight to survive “could have gone either way.″
