Train collides with bus in the Czech Republic, 12 injured
PRAGUE (AP) — Officials say a regional passenger train in the Czech Republic has collided with a bus and derailed, injuring 12 people. The Rail Safety Inspection says the accident occurred Sunday morning at a crossing near the town of Benesov, southeast of Prague. The agency says five passengers on the train and five passengers on the bus have been injured together with both drivers. The regional rescue service says one person was rushed to a Prague hospital while the other were treated at the scene then taken to a nearby hospital. The agency is investigating the cause of the collision.
