PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Justin Thomas is finally turning the corner from the roughest stretch of his career. He won The Players Championship with a final round he considers among the best of his career. Thomas has never had too many worries. That changed at the start of the year when he was heard muttering an anti-gay slur under his breath that cost him corporate support. Then his grandfather died. He is close to Tiger Woods and was emotional talking about the car crash that led to serious leg injuries for Woods. Thomas got his head in the right place for a timely victory.
