BALTIMORE (AP) — Some fans are back at the Preakness to witness another run at a Triple Crown. Of course it all comes with an asterisk. A limited capacity of 10,000 fans is far less than the crowd of 100,000 that usually packs historic Pimlico and a fraction of the 50,000 at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago. And there are questions about the Derby winner following Medina Spirit’s failed a drug test after that race. The colt could still be disqualified. But Medina Spirit and fellow Bob Baffert-trained Concert Tour passed pre-Preakness drug tests and have been cleared to race in the second leg of the Triple Crown that’s being run in the traditional order again.
