Lakers star Davis rusty in return, scores 4 in half vs. Mavs

DALLAS (AP) — Anthony Davis is trying to shake off the rust with the Los Angeles Lakers as the eight-time All-Star ends the longest absence of his NBA career at Dallas. The Lakers star scored four points while making just two of 10 shots from the field in the first half. Davis wasn’t supposed to play in the second half after missing the previous 30 games with right calf and heel issues. Davis played 17 minutes, about two more than planned. Fellow star LeBron James is supposed to be out at least two more weeks with an ankle injury.
