MONACO (AP) — Lewis Hamilton was unhappy with his Mercedes team after a botched qualifying session at the Monaco Grand Prix. Hamilton has a record 100 pole positions but qualified a lowly seventh ahead of Sunday’s race. The seven-time Formula One champion might have got a bit higher up if pole-sitter Charles Leclerc hadn’t crashed his Ferrari to end the session with 18 seconds left. But it still wouldn’t have been enough for the top three. Hamilton was reluctant to be too critical and address what went wrong in public. But he says “behind closed doors I will.”
