FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Gov. Andy Beshear welcomed the first winners of Kentucky’s ‘Shot at a Million Vaccine’ Incentive lottery at the state’s capitol Friday. More than 608,000 people have entered to win $1 million or full-ride scholarships to a Kentucky public college, university, technical or trade school. Patricia Short, winner of the $1 million, encouraged Kentuckians to get vaccinated. The next round of winners will be announced July 29. Those who didn’t win in the first drawing remain eligible.
