Two of the world’s best sailors have helped steer Italy’s Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team into a spot in the America’s Cup match. Francesco Bruni of Italy and Jimmy Spithill of Australia have been a unique tandem in Luna Rossa’s dual helmsman system, with each sailor taking turns steering the team’s powerful 75-foot yacht during races. Now they bring their system into the 36th America’s Cup match against defending champion Emirates Team New Zealand. The best-of-13 match will begin Wednesday, New Zealand time.
