England cricket team to wear Black Lives Matter logo
SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — The England cricket team will join the West Indies in wearing a Black Lives Matter logo on their shirts during the three-test series starting next week. The players will wear the logo of a black fist with the words “Black Lives Matter” on their collars. The logo was designed by Alisha Hosannah. She is the partner of Watford soccer team captain Troy Deeney. England captain Joe Root says it is important to show solidarity with the Black community and raise awareness about equality and justice.
