BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Sabres captain Jack Eichel is questioning his future in Buffalo by saying there is a disconnect with the team over whether to have surgery to repair a herniated disk. Eichel says he favors having surgery, while suggesting the team has a different opinion regarding the best course of treatment. Eichel has been sidelined since March. He spoke for the first time since being hurt, and two days after the Sabres season ended. Buffalo finished last in the overall standings and extended its playoff drought to an NHL record-matching 10th year.
