CNN shifting daytime, weekend schedule after Baldwin exit

NEW YORK (AP) — CNN says it is shifting its daytime and weekend schedules after afternoon anchor Brooke Baldwin announced she was leaving in April. Baldwin has been with the network since 2008, and shared with viewers her experience going through COVID last year. ‘New Day’ anchor Alisyn Camerota will shift to afternoons to host CNN’s ‘Newsroom’ with Victor Blackwell starting in April. Blackwell has been a regular on CNN’s weekend schedule. Weekend anchor Ana Cabrera will get a new weekday show at 1 p.m. Eastern, and Brianna Keilar will move from the afternoons to replace Camerota as co-anchor of ‘New Day’ with John Berman. Former White House correspondents, Jim Acosta and Boris Sanchez will get new weekend anchor jobs.
