MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. – A Muhlenberg County woman is feeling thankful after a $250,000 Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off ticket win.

Kellee Reed of Drakesboro told lottery officials she usually stops to buy tickets on paydays.

Earlier this month, Reed stopped at Eagles VII on North Prine Avenue in Drakesboro, where she bought the $10 Cash Blowout ticket.

Officials say Reed scratched the ticket off at home, revealing a 2X symbol.

Reed’s parents were the first to find out the good news.

Reed and her brother traveled to lottery headquarters on Sept. 9. After taxes, Reed walked away with a check for $180,000.

“I’m very excited for her,” her brother told officials. “She works hard.”

Reed works as a manager at a restaurant and told officials she will put the winnings in savings for now.

“I was blessed,” she said.

Eagles VII will receive a check for $2,500 for selling the winning ticket.
