I-24 westbound closed near Paducah due to crash

PADUCAH, Ky. – Interstate 24 westbound near Paducah is currently shut down due to a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer, officials say.
Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed the crash Tuesday evening on social media, stating that the area will remain closed for an estimate of six hours.
The governor says I-24 eastbound traffic is moving slowly.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes. First responders are on scene and are working to clear the area, according to Beshear.
