HWY 98 bridge reopened after repairs

ALLEN COUNTY, Ky.  The bridge over Barren River Lake on HWY 98 near mile point 8.7 in Allen County is now reopened.

The bridge was temporarily closed for repairs.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says inspectors found damage on the bridge deck in late March, which has now been fixed. The bridge was closed to prevent any possibility of damage to vehicles during the repair process.

Detour signs and message boards have now been taken down in the area.
