Husband and wife charged and arrested following traffic stop in Cave City
CAVE CITY, Ky.- A husband and wife from Horse Cave are behind bars following a traffic stop in Cave City.
According to an arrest citation, Kentucky State Police pulled over a vehicle on Main Street for not having an illuminated license plate.
Troopers say the driver of the vehicle, Jason Taylor, 42, was unable to provide proof of insurance.
Troopers later learned Taylor had a suspended driver’s license.
Also in the car was Lauren Taylor, 27.
Troopers say they discovered five pills in Jason Taylor’s coat pocket, two syringes in Lauren Taylor’s purse, a small bag of suspected methamphetamine in her bra and a handgun in the glove box.
Lauren Taylor was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jason Taylor was also arrested on drug charges, as well as operating on a suspended license.
Both are lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
