Hundreds gather at vigil to remember Franklin-Simpson High School student
FRANKLIN, Ky.- Hundreds of students, friends and family members joined each other at Franklin-Simpson High School on Thursday night to remember a 16-year-old who died earlier this week in a scaffolding accident.
Gustavo Ramirez died in Nashville last Tuesday at a construction site after falling from scaffolding 120ft. above the ground.
Police in Nashville are calling the incident an accident.
Thursday night’s vigil took place on the soccer field at the high school. Ramirez was a member of the high school soccer team and would have graduated in 2022.
The vigil included remarks from family and friends, a video tribute, candles and songs.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
