Hotels urgently hiring people as travel industry bounces back
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- On Thursday, the Anderson Hospitality Group out of Bowling Green held walk-in interviews for five of their Bowling Green hotels.
This is the first job fair type event they’ve hosted and a sign that the hotel industry is beginning to bounce back from the pandemic.
They are hiring for sales positions, front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage service, laundry staff and kitchen staff. These positions are available across their locations of the Hilton Garden, Courtyard, Towneplace, Fairfield and Tru properties.
Telia Butler, Marriott Area Director of Sales, says they need to hire dozens of people, as more people book stays as they become vaccinated or are taking spring trips. She encourages anyone to apply.
“We are hiring on the spot nearly because the need is there. We have been spending so much time trying to get the hotels ready for everyone booking so quickly, so we’re really short staffed and we need the help,” said Butler.
The Anderson Hospitality Group is still taking applications after today. You can send your information to cheyenne@andersonhospitality.com.
