Hotel Inc. holds unhoused population K-count week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hotel Inc. is holding its unhoused population K-count week from Feb. 23 to March 1.
During the week, Hotel Inc. will be keeping track and registering the number of unhoused people coming to its location, as well as Wellness Connection and the Volunteers of America Center in Bowling Green.
This is done to get a population count and determine the funding the nonprofit will receive for the year.
This week is important, as it will help unhoused individuals in Warren County get more resources that will help them in the future.
“The amount of unhoused individuals in Warren County is a lot higher than what I thought it would be,” said Samantha Webb, Wellness Connection coordinator. “And there needs to be more support, more affordable housing and that sort of thing for the unhoused individuals so that they can move to the next stage in their lives.”
Hotel Inc. will be continuing to count members of the unhoused population Wednesday evening at the VOA in Bowling Green located at 730 College St.
