Horse Cave’s Dart Container to manufacture face shields for healthcare workers

HORSE CAVE, Ky.- After temporarily closing its doors to address issues concerning social distancing, Dart Container Corporation in Horse Cave is open once again and will soon produce a vital tool for healthcare workers on the front line.

According to a news release issued Tuesday by the company, workers will soon be manufacturing 80,000 face shields. The shields are being made for a federal agency and will be distributed to workers caring for COVID-19 patients.

The company is also implementing new guidelines to ensure workers are staying at least six feet apart.
