Horse Cave man charged in Hart County shooting

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – A Horse Cave man is accused of shooting another man in the head.
According to a uniform citation, Kentucky State Police Post 3 troopers responded to a home on Rush Island Bend Road in Horse Cave to reports of a shooting on Sunday evening.
Troopers say when they arrived, they located a man from bleeding the head on the floor of the home.
Troopers say the man sustained a suspected gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
KSP says two men were detained and taken to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the citation, Jonathan Durham, 39, of Horse Cave allegedly shot the victim.
Durham was arrested and is charged with first-degree assault.
He was lodged at the Hart County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
