Hopkinsville’s Casey Jones Distillery joins B3 Beverage

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WNKY) – Casey Jones Distillery has joined B3 Beverage Company, marking a new chapter for the Hopkinsville-based spirits maker and expanding B3’s growing portfolio into distilled spirits.

The announcement was made this week by B3 Beverage Company, which operates a platform focused on pairing heritage brands with shared manufacturing and operational support. The move places Casey Jones alongside several well-known beer and spirits producers across the eastern United States.

With the addition of Casey Jones, B3’s portfolio now includes Bald Birds Brewing and Four Birds Distilling in Pennsylvania, Heavy Seas Beer in Maryland, Yards Brewing Company in Philadelphia, Two Roads Brewing Company in Connecticut and Casey Jones Distillery in Western Kentucky.

Company leaders say each brand will retain its own identity and leadership while benefiting from shared infrastructure, production flexibility and operational expertise across the network.

Casey Jones Distillery was founded in 2014 by Arlon “AJ” Casey Jones, the grandson of legendary Kentucky stillmaker Casey Jones, and his wife, Peg Hays. The distillery later added Cody Turner as a partner in 2022.

“We’ve poured our hearts into building Casey Jones, and we’ve always believed that how you make something matters just as much as what you make,” said Hays. “Partnering with B3 gives us the support to grow and reach more people, while still staying true to who we are and how we do things.”

The distillery has built a reputation for award-winning bourbon and moonshine, produced using traditional methods and a distinctive square pot still, while also drawing on a family legacy rooted in early Kentucky distilling.

Hays said the partnership with B3 will allow the company to grow while staying true to its values and approach to craftsmanship.

B3 CEO Joey Feerrar said Casey Jones stood out for its combination of history, culture and product quality, calling the distillery a natural fit for the company’s model.

“Casey Jones has that rare mix of real history and really great liquid,” he said. “You feel it the moment you meet Peg and AJ. They care deeply about their history, their culture, and their team members. What they’ve built is special and we’re proud to partner with them.”

For Casey Jones, the partnership is expected to support expanded production, stronger distribution and long-term planning, while keeping the founders closely involved in the business.

Company leaders said the move is also intended to strengthen the distillery’s long-term presence in Hopkinsville and help secure its legacy in a changing and increasingly competitive beverage industry.
