Hopkinsville police identify suspect in fatal shooting

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – One man has been identified as a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in Hopkinsville.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting that took place along the 100 block of Koffman Drive, authorities have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jabbarreion Murphy.
Police say Murphy is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 240 pounds.
Authorities say an active arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Murphy.
The department is asking for the community’s assistance to locate Murphy. Anyone with information on Murphy’s location is asked to contact ECC at 270-890-1300.
Do not attempt to approach or apprehend Murphy. If you see him, authorities say to contact law enforcement immediately by dialing 911.

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting incident in Christian County.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in the 100 block of Koffman Drive at approximately 2:58 am Wednesday.
Officers located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest at the scene.
HPD says Hopkinsville Fire/EMS transported the victim to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim is identified as 42-year-old Miguel Finch, of Hopkinsville.
The investigation is ongoing.
