Hopkinsville home damaged in reported fire

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – No injuries are reported after a fire at a Hopkinsville home on Tuesday.
Just after 12:30 p.m., Hopkinsville Fire/EMS says firefighters were alerted to a possible structure fire at 128 Rozelle Avenue.
Upon arrival, smoke was confirmed to be visible from East First Street. Units arrived on scene within three minutes of dispatch, according to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS.
The agency says command upgraded the situation to a working fire. Crews entered the home, finding a room and a window a/c unit on fire.
All occupants were able to get out unharmed thanks to smoke detectors, according to the agency.
Firefighters were able to contain the damage to the starting point, however, fire personnel say the home “suffered significant smoke damage.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
