Historic Rail Park and Train Museum unveils a new exhibit

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Tuesday, the Historic Rail Park and Train Museum unveiled a new exhibit.

The second phase of the exhibit called “Railroads Go to War” was unveiled. This phase focuses on women in railroading, such as Rosie the Riveter.

Phase 1 which highlights the L&N Depot’s involvement with World Wars I and II was completed in 2019. Phase 2 was a collaborative effort involving not only the museum, but also grant funding from the Kentucky Humanities Council, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Western Kentucky University graphic design department also made this possible.

The exhibit also features Kathryn Brown Gilbert, a local Bowling Green figure.
