Hillvue Heights Church to hold Single Moms Oil Change

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Single mothers in need of vehicle maintenance can find free help this weekend at Hillvue Heights Church.

For the past 20 years, the church has hosted a Single Moms Oil Change, an event that offers free oil changes and community support to local families. Volunteers not only service vehicles but also provide encouragement and guidance to mothers while their children enjoy activities on site.

Associate pastor Kevin Estes said the goal is to show compassion and faith in action.

“The main reason for this is showing people the hands and feet of Jesus Christ loving on people — changing their oil, loving on their children and letting them know that the Lord loves them,” Estes said.

The event is designed to relieve stress for single mothers by helping them with a routine but often costly service. Organizers say it’s also an opportunity for the church to connect with the community and offer spiritual and emotional support.

This year’s Single Moms Oil Change will take place Nov. 1 at Hillvue Heights Church from 8 a.m. to noon. The event is open to all single mothers in the Bowling Green area, with no appointment necessary.
