Hilltoppers Release Official 2020 Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Football announced its finalized 2020 schedule on Monday morning. Of note, the Hilltoppers’ previously-postponed home game vs. Chattanooga has been marked for October 24, while a new Homecoming date has been tabbed for the October 10 matchup against Conference USA rival Marshall.

WKU had recently announced the addition of a non-conference contest at BYU on October 31. Game times and broadcast information for all games are TBD at this time.

Second-year head coach Tyson Helton and the 2020 Hilltoppers will face a wire-to-wire grind, as nine of the team’s 10 FBS opponents competed in a bowl game in 2019. WKU’s 11 opponents compiled a combined record of 81-62 from 2019, including a 52-40 mark from the seven league opponents and 29-22 mark from the four non-conference teams.

WKU kicks off its 2020 campaign on the road at Louisville on September 12, only 19 days away. The Hilltoppers will be looking to break an 11-game losing streak against the Cardinals, dating back to a win in 1975. WKU will come back to Bowling Green the following Saturday to host Liberty for the team’s home opener on September 19.

The Hilltoppers’ C-USA home opponents will be Thundering Herd, Southern Miss on November 14 and FIU on November 21 for Senior Day. Road league opponents for WKU include Middle Tennessee on October 3, UAB on October 17, Florida Atlantic on November 7 and Charlotte on November 28 for the regular-season finale.
