Hightower wins Warren County Sheriff GOP primary

WARREN COUNTY, KY.- Brett Hightower was elected to a third term as Warren County Sheriff Tuesday evening.

Hightower said community support played a major role in motivating him throughout the campaign.

“A lot of the community motivated me,” Hightower said. “A lot of people who have seen what we’ve done for the last seven years have really gotten behind the sheriff’s office, and I think tonight proves the community really supports us,” Hightower said. He looks forward to continuing the work his office has done to serve and protect Warren County residents.

Hightower secured over 90% of the vote to defeat challenger Mark Heyungs.

Hightower will run opposed in the 2026 General Election in November.
